Here Youth is a community of students grades 7-12 from Terwillegar Community Church.
Drop-In
Drop-in is our after-school program designed for our amazing Here Youth students and their friends. It runs from 3:00pm to 7:00pm in the church lobby. Come straight to the church after school, where you'll find a space to do homework, relax, play games, and socialize. During Drop-in, we also set up for youth night and enjoy cooking and sharing a meal together. We’d love to have you join us on Wednesday afternoons!
Wednesday Nights
We’d love for you to join us at TCC on Wednesday nights throughout the school year for a great time of community, learning, and hanging out. We meet from 7:00pm to 9:00pm in various locations around the church. These gatherings happen weekly, but be sure to check our seasonal calendar for any updates!
Wednesday evenings are focused on growing as followers of Jesus through worship, Bible study, small group discussions, and games. It’s a safe space for open and honest conversations about faith, so come with your questions, doubts, curiosity, and a desire to grow.
Our goal as students and leaders is to bring Jesus “here,” wherever “here” may be. We believe that living your life with Jesus is the best way to live! At youth, we not only learn about Him, but also how to share that hope with the world—both through our words and our actions. This means wherever you are and whoever you’re with, you carry the living hope into the world.
Friday Nights
We host youth events on the 1st and 3rd Friday of nearly every month. The first Friday is dedicated to small group nights, offering a chance to build strong connections with students in your age group. These nights can include devotions, casual hangouts, or fun outings like mini golf or laser tag. The goal is to form close friendships where you can support each other in both faith and life. On the third Friday, we gather for big group nights, themed events, or special outings! For more details, check the calendar or the weekly youth emails. Some of our favorite recurring events include PingPong Wars, the Corn Maze, Mystery Night, and Freedom Fighters!
Retreats
The Alberta Baptist Association (ABA) is composed of 60 churches from the North American Baptist Conference (NABC). These churches come together to connect and empower one another to impact communities and advance God's Kingdom in Alberta and beyond. Each year, in partnership with Camp Caroline, the ABA hosts incredible retreats for students in grades 7-12. Youth ministries across the ABA are invited to two retreats during the school year: the Junior High Retreat in November and the Senior High Retreat in March. These weekends are always a highlight of the year, so don’t miss out! For more details, check our calendar, weekly emails, and social media.
