TCC is supported by the generous giving of members and friends. We consider giving (in whatever form you use) to be an act of worship. It is a recognition that all that we have is God's, and we "give back" a portion to Him for His Kingdom purposes. We are grateful for each gift and seek to be good and wise stewards of the financial resources we have been entrusted with. Receipts for Income Tax purposes are issued at the end of each year. One exception to this is that credit card donations (see below) are receipted immediately via email. There are four primary ways to give to the ministry of TCC:
For many, online and mobile banking is their preferred way to manage their finances, including giving. TCC is able to receive donations via e-transfer that are “autodeposited”, which require no security questions. Simply use “Terwillegar Community Church” as the payee name and use treasurer@tcchurch.ca as the contact method. It’s quick, direct, and confidential. Only TCC’s treasurer would be notified and donations via e-transfer will be receipted by TCC at the end of the year. This is one of the best options for giving as it is simple and cost-effective.
The pattern of regular and consistent giving is made simpler through pre-authorized automatic bank withdrawals. Please print and complete this FORM and return it our treasurer, Rudi Radke (treasurer@tcchurch.ca) who will set up the monthly withdrawal on the date(s) that you choose. And if you ever need to make changes or discontinue the automatic withdrawal, you simply notify Rudi.
During our weekly worship service, you will have an opportunity to give by cash or cheque at the usher's cabinets stationed directly inside either entrance door to the sanctuary. Envelopes are available for this purpose. If you would like to mail your cheques to the church, please feel free to do so. 1751 Towne Centre Blvd NW, Edmonton, AB T6R 3N9; Attention: Rudi Radke.
Alternatively, you may drop them off at the church - either at the office (click HERE for hours), in a locked mailbox just outside the office (if the building is open but the office is not), or in the mailbox located just outside the SW entrance doors.
Through TCC's relationship with Alberta Treasury Branch (ATB), there is a credit card option for giving. This is provided as a service through ATB Cares and the program itself is operated by Benevity, which utilizes the Canadian Online Giving Foundation for processing donations. As a result, upon receipt of your donation you will immediately receive an email with an attached receipt for income tax purposes from Benevity. Since these amounts are not receipted by TCC, it is helpful if you share your name and any comments when filling out the form. These comments are shared directly with our Treasurer.
PLEASE NOTE: TCC is responsible for the cost associated with this program. Through merchant fees and management fees, almost 6% of your donation will be held back. We kindly ask that if you choose to use this option, you would consider adding 6% to your donation. Alternatively, you are encouraged to consider using one of the other giving options. We are investigating other credit card giving options.
