If you’re in a Community Group, Triad, or other type of mid-week group, and are looking for content or a curriculum to base your meetings around, consider using a TCC Community Guide. Even if you're just studying on your own, Community Guides are a great way to dive deeper into the Word of God.
We all interact with plenty of content during the week, be it a book we’re reading, a podcast series we’re keeping up to date with, a personal Bible study plan, or the sermon we hear at church on Sunday. There is no shortage of great content. These Community Guides are a resource that can help keep you and/or your group from information overload and are designed to help you go deeper with content you’ve already been exposed to. These guides are designed to follow the sermon series at TCC.
Current Community Guides
We desire to see everyone experiencing the transformational work of Jesus in their own lives, their communities and around the world. We believe that this transformational work takes place as we make space for God to work in and through us. This is why we stress the importance of spiritual practices as a core aspect of our formation. Through spiritual practices we open up space for God to transform and work through us.
To do this well, we will be introducing “The Practice Series” throughout our ministry year. We will spend four weeks teaching on the practice of Sabbath, and will be inviting you to learn and grow in this practice.

January - April 2025, “Exodus”
After completing a study on Philippians, the focus now shifts to the book of Exodus under the continuing theme of "Cultivate." The story of Exodus reveals how God worked in His people while they responded by preparing their hearts and lives for transformation. The word "cultivate" highlights the importance of preparing the conditions for spiritual growth, much like tending land for a fruitful harvest. This theme challenges us to consider how we are making room for God's work in our lives. Believing that Jesus desires to transform individuals and communities, we are invited to actively participate in His work through the Holy Spirit.
January - June 2024, “Greater Than: A Study on the Book of Hebrews”
In this series we follow the sermon written to the Hebrews. Hebrews was written to a community of Messianic-Jews who were facing persecution in Rome. The author writes to them to encourage them to not give up in their devotion to Jesus. Throughout the letter, the Author contrasts Jesus to Old Testament ideas around life with God, demonstrating over and over that Jesus is greater. As we study this book, we hope to enrich our conviction that Jesus is indeed greater than anything our world has to offer.
September - December 2023, “The Way: A Study based on the 10 Commandments”
This series we consider the way of life Jesus calls us to by teaching through the 10 commandments. Having liberated Israel from slavery in Egypt, God gave his people the 10 commandments to lead to their individual and communal flourishing. These community guides are designed to help you more deeply explore and think about the 10 commandments and the sermons preached on them. The first two messages serve as an introduction to TCC and the series.
February 2023 - April 2023, “Living the Life: A Study on Jesus’ Last Words”
This sermon series in working through Jesus’ final words recorded for us in John’s Gospel from Chapter 13-18. In His final hours, Jesus spoke and prayed very specifically knowing that He was soon going to suffer and die. So, as we listen to these final words of Jesus, we ask the question, how are these final words inviting us and instructing us to experience the abundant life He has for us? These community guides are designed to help you more deeply explore and think about these passages of scripture and the messages preached on them.
January 2023, “Following Together: Following Jesus with a Rule of Life”
In January 2023, we took time to ask ourselves the question, “How am I intentionally walking with Jesus?” To help you do this, we want to invite you to craft a rule of life. The following resources were designed to help you do that.
